1. Tell us your name. Any nicknames? Lance Ayers 2. Are you married? To whom? Yes. To the really cute bass player. 3. Do you have children? How many? Yes, 4 Drew, Caleb, Layna, and Leah. 4. When is your birthday? November 12’th 5. How long have you been playing/singing? I started tinkering with the piano at 5 or 6 years old. I picked up other instruments in school: French horn, Trumpet, and Drums. 6. How did you come to be part of IFC? I was youth pastor at First Assembly of God, now LifePoint Ministries, when Roland and Donna Yarborough came to be our pastors. Over the course of time, God brought together the unique individuals that make up Iron For Clay. I am here because God has called me to be a part of this ministry and to let the light of Christ’s love shine everywhere I go. 7. What is your favorite scripture? Jeremiah 29:11 8. How did you come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? I was raised in church and in high school, I came to truly understand the love of Christ at a church service and He transformed my life. Now, it’s my passion to please God in all that I do. Worship to me is much more than singing; it is a lifestyle of living with a heart after God. 9. Any Hobbies? Hanging out with my family, playing golf, and I just recently picked up fly fishing…paying for things Shellie buys while shopping. 10. What is your favorite food when Donna is around? Lentil soup with no salt, raw barley, whey, and strained wheat grass. 11. What is your favorite food when Donna is not around? Houston’s Hawaiian rib eye steak, stringy little fries, and a huge sweet tea…oh, and a fried cheesecake at Longhorn (with ice cream and extra fudge). 12. Miscellaneous info- I was born in Frankfurt, Germany. Can play Jingle Bells by making “flatulent” noises with my hands
